Efectividad de las intervenciones psicológicas en niños con Trastorno del Espectro Autismo

El trastorno del espectro autista genera discapacidad que altera el comportamiento de los seres humanos, tanto a nivel individual como familiar; las afectaciones que genera la enfermedad condicionad distintos grados de discapacidad y de afectación a la percepción de calidad de vida. Existen estudios que reportan que con la implementación de intervenciones psicológicas se pueden lograr efectos positivos tanto en la esfera cognitiva como conductual de los pacientes, lo que favorece su interrelación social. El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar la efectividad de las intervenciones psicológicas en niños con trastornos del espectro autista. Para lograrlo fue necesario realizar un estudio básico, descriptivo y transversal, consistente en una revisión bibliográfica no sistemática que incluyó como universo un total 94 documentos; de los cuales se decidió que 24 formaran parte de la muestra de investigación. La búsqueda de información se realizó en bases de daos regionales y de alto impacto como son Scopus, Elsevier, Lilacs, Latindex, Ice Web of Sciencie, Redalyc y Scielo. Se reportan mejoras en habilidades sociales y comunicativas, conductas adaptativas y disminución de síntomas propios del espectro. Se evidencia el rol activo de los padres en el tratamiento de sus hijos pudiendo adaptarse a sus necesidades. Se concluye que las terapias conductuales son las más frecuentes y evidencian la importancia del inicio temprano de las intervenciones; siendo necesario establecer tratamientos a largo plazo. Sin embargo, no existe demostración evidente acerca de que los efectos de las intervenciones no estén relacionados con otros factores.
