Efectividad de la psicomotricidad en niños con trastorno del espectro autista y dispraxia del desarrollo

El trastorno del espectro autista es una de las patologías del neurodesarrollo que implica varias alteraciones limitando al niño en su autonomía. Uno de los aspectos menos valorados en esta condición es el desarrollo psicomotor (DSM), el cual presenta varias alteraciones de las cuales la de mayor frecuencia es la dispraxia, esta se manifiesta como una torpeza o lentitud para realizar actividades motrices. La presente revisión tuvo como objetivo determinar el efecto de la psicomotricidad sobre la dispraxia del desarrollo en niños con trastorno del espectro autista. Se efectuó una investigación básica, no experimental, documental, de corte transversal y descriptiva, se incluyeron documentos publicados en bases de datos regionales y mundiales (Latindex, Lilacs, Pubmed, Redalyc, Scielo, Scopus, Web of Sciencie) y en el Motor de búsqueda: Google Académico, divulgados durante el período comprendido entre los años 2016 y 2023. Se identificaron 70 resultados de investigaciones que constituyeron el universo. La muestra estudiada fue de 12 los cuales cumplieron con los requisitos de inclusión. Los resultados esperados de esta indagación se relacionaron con la descripción de las características del trastorno del espectro autista y la influencia de la psicomotricidad como una alternativa terapéutica para la dispraxia del desarrollo. Teniendo como conclusión principal que la psicomotricidad es una excelente propuesta de intervención terapéutica para el tratamiento de este trastorno ya que esta se ocupa del análisis del cuerpo y la motricidad del niño, permitiendo que descubra movimientos que tendrán significado y relevancia al momento de expresarse.
