El manejo financiero del sistema de salud posterior a la COVID-19

La pandemia de COVID-19, además de convertirse en el suceso social de mayor importancia durante la última década, puso al descubierto muchas falencias y necesidades relacionadas con el manejo financiero de las instituciones de salud y del sistema de salud como ente regulador de todas las instituciones que tienen como finalidad brindar servicios de salud. El objetivo de la presente investigación es exponer las experiencias aprendidas relacionadas con el manejo financiero del sistema de salud. Para cumplir el objetivo se realizó una investigación básica, descriptiva y no experimental en la que se exponen las principales dificultades observadas durante la pandemia de COVID-19 en torno al manejo financiero y las principales acciones, que, a modo de experiencias aprendidas, se implementan en la actualidad. La pandemia de COVID-19 trajo a colación falencias en el manejo financiero en el sistema de salud de forma general. Las necesidades evidenciadas de personal, insumos, recursos y otros constituye la principal expresión de las dificultades antes mencionadas. Después de vencida la fase crítica de la pandemia se hacen transformaciones necesarias que conducirán en el futuro al mejoramiento del manejo financiero del sistema de salud; con el propósito de que la situación vivida con la COVID-19 quede en la historia de la humanidad, sin que se vuelva a repetir.
