Niveles de Gamma-Glutamil-Transferasa inicial en pacientes con artritis reumatoidea del Hospital Teodoro Maldonado Carbo

La artritis reumatoidea (AR) es una enfermedad crónica y debilitante que se caracteriza por la inflamación de las articulaciones, puede tener un impacto significativo en la calidad de vida de los pacientes. El objetivo de este artículo es determinar cómo la utilidad de la medición de Gamma-Glutamil-Transferasa Inicial tiene una relación con la predicción de la actividad de la enfermedad en pacientes con artritis reumatoidea del Hospital Teodoro Maldonado Carbo en Ecuador. El enfoque es cuantitativo, tipo de investigación correlacional, diseño no experimental, transaccional, documental. La población conformada por 1254 pacientes, la muestra estudiada fueron 294 pacientes. Los instrumentos para recolección de datos fueron una encuesta tipo cuestionario, dicotómica, y la revisión de historias clínicas. Se obtuvo como resultado que, los datos del estudio NO siguen una distribución normal, por lo que, en los análisis estadísticos siguientes, se emplearán pruebas no paramétricas (no normales) para probar las hipótesis de la investigación. En cuanto a las conclusiones la relación entre la GGT y la actividad de la artritis reumatoidea puede tener implicaciones clínicas importantes. En primer lugar, puede ayudar a identificar a los pacientes con artritis reumatoidea que tienen un mayor riesgo de complicaciones.
