Pedagogical strategy for the professionalization of nursing students linked to the Frank País Movement

Introduction: The article constitutes an approach to the reasons that support the need to offer the theoretical and methodological foundations that support the pedagogical strategy for the professionalization of students linked to the Frank País Movement.
Objective: to design a pedagogical strategy aimed at the professionalization of students linked to this movement, from an integrative approach that articulates academic, research and work training.
Methods: A cross-sectional, explanatory research-development study was conducted at the University of Medical Sciences of Camagüey during the 2024-2025 academic year. The theoretical and methodological foundation, design, and evaluation were fundamental aspects for shaping the current research strategy. Theoretical scientific methods were used.
Results: The integrated teaching-assistant approach resulted in improved student performance. Similarly, the strategy proved vital in developing professional competencies, as it will be reflected in the quality of graduates and their performance in their professional contexts.
Conclusions: The systematization of the theoretical-methodological assumptions revealed the presence of shortcomings derived from the scarce treatment of the subject matter, which will be resolved once the teaching strategy is applied.
