Relación del intestino con la Espondilitis Anquilosante y otras espondiloartritis

La relación que existe entre las espondiloartritis y la infección intestinal ha sido observada de forma regular existiendo múltiples reportes de casos que refieren esta asociación clínica; en su etiología se mencionan bacterias como Shigella, Yersinia, Campylobacter o Salmonella presentes en el sistema digestivo de estos enfermos que secundariamente desarrollan un cuadro inflamatorio enteso-articular. Estos procesos morbosos puede concomita desde un inicio o demorar algunos años en relacionarse, la concordancia más importante entre ambos trastornos se da en el contexto de las espondiloartritis de las enfermedades inflamatorias intestinales crónicas, reportándose también asociada con la espondilitis anquilosante, artritis reactivas y artritis psoriásica, confirmando la participación del intestino en estas entidades. En esta revisión exponemos los avances más recientes de la relación que se presenta entre las infecciones del intestino y la patogenia de la espondilitis anquilosante, así como de otras enfermedades que componen el grupo de las espondiloartritisDownloads
