La espondiloartritis anquilosante pertenece al grupo de las espondiloartropatías. Se trata de un grupo heterogéneo de enfermedades relacionadas entre sí en vez de una misma enfermedad con diferentes manifestaciones clínicas.Las espondiloartropatías debutan generalmente en la segunda década de la vida, alrededor del 80 % de los pacientes desarrollan los primeros síntomas antes de los 30 años, y menos de un 5 % de los pacientes inician los síntomas después de los 45 años. Se presenta un paciente del sexo masculino de 76 años de edad con manifestaciones neurológicas secundarias a una espondiloartritis anquilosante.Downloads
