Guide for the rehabilitation of the fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a chronic disease of difficult treatment. The aim of this article is to describe the rehabilitation treatment that was performed according to the program concocted to treat the patient with fibromyalgia at the Rheumatology. Center The treatment was evaluated individually for each patient by specialists in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, applying it according to symptoms, limitations and alterations of the functional capacity of the patients, considering the types of exercises, intensity and duration. The application was controlled by a physiotherapist trained to combine the effects with mud therapy. With the aim of reducing symptoms, disability and improve the quality of life of patients with fibromyalgia. At the same time a literature review of non-pharmacological more effective treatments currently being conducted to improve the quality of life of patients with fibromyalgia.
