Tendencias históricas de la superación profesional del especialista en medicina familiar sobre lupus eritematoso sistémico

Introduction: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) as a health problem constitutes a starting point for the design of the improvement of professionals who work at the Primary Health Care (PHC) level.
Objective: to characterize the historical trends of the professional improvement of the doctor in the PHC on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
Methods: the dialectical method was used as the guiding method. From the theoretical level: the historical-logical, analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive. From the empirical level: the documentary review.
Results: As national trends of the professional improvement of the doctor in Primary Health Care for the early diagnosis of SLE were found in this research: the professional improvement of the Comprehensive General Physician in relation to the identification of symptoms has not been identified as a need Learning; recognition of the importance of the Comprehensive General Practitioner in the detection of SLE symptoms, based on national demands; and the demands of professional improvement in relation to the complications and comorbidities of patients with SLE that enhance the real scenarios where the participation of the Comprehensive General Physician is present.
Conclusions: in correspondence with international postgraduate trends, as a strategic development instrument, the professional improvement of the doctor in Primary Health Care on SLE shows trends that guide professional improvement and the quality of life of the population.
