Utilidad del índice neutrófilo/linfocitos en los procesos inflamatorios de las enfermedades sistémicas autoinmunes

Introducción: El índice neutrófilos-linfocitos se calcula dividiendo los recuentos de neutrófilos entre los linfocitos circulantes como subpoblaciones leucocitarias principales. En el proceso inflamatorio los metabolitos del ácido araquidónico activan las plaquetas dando como resultado neutrofilia, por otro lado, el estrés inducido por cortisol produce un efecto de linfopenia relativa, expresando esta relación neutrófilos -linfocitos con relativa exactitud el proceso inflamatorio.
Objetivos: Demostrar las posibilidades que tiene el índice neutrófilos-linfocitos en el pronóstico de enfermedades reumáticas
Método: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica con la siguiente estrategia:
Se identificaron las siguientes bases de datos PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus y Cochrane Library con las palkabras clave índice neutrofilo/linfocito en las enferemdades reumáticas,
Resultados: se recuperaron 25 artículos, de los cuales 15 fueron útiles para nuestra comunicación, resumiendo lo expuesto en ellas con relación a un grupo de enfermedades reumáticas en actividad con el índice neutrófilos/linfocitos.
Conclusiones: El índice neutrófilos-linfocitos fue predictor de gravedad en el enfermedades reumáticas en actividad.
