Desde la pérdida de la fuerza hasta el compromiso sistémico: síndrome de Poems reporte de dos casos y revisión de la literatura

El síndrome de POEMS es un síndrome paraneoplásico raro y poco frecuente, que se presenta principalmente en la sexta década de la vida, caracterizado por el compromiso multisistémico con predominio de neuropatía desmielinizante, que abarca diversas y heterogéneas manifestaciones clínicas y cuyo diagnóstico requiere un alto índice de sospecha. Se presentan dos casos de pacientes que consultaron por cuadros poco frecuentes en los que la perdida de la fuerza orientó al acercamiento de una afectación multisistémica que concluyó con el diagnóstico de esta enfermedad
