Para la inmensa mayoría de los afiliados a la Sociedad cubana de Reumatología, resultan ya de algún modo familiares los encuentros científicos Cuba México en el marco de los congresos cubanos de reumatología. Estos eventos a lo largo de 19 años se han ido efectuando de manera ininterrumpida con la presencia de una amplia representación de lo mejor en el orden científico y humano de la reumatología mexicana. Presidentes de su sociedad y congreso, jefes de importantes servicios nacionales, destacados profesores, líderes de opinión y amigos de Cuba.
