Health care-teaching integration. Challenges to confront in the pedagogical activity

Introduction: In Cuba teaching, health care and investigation constitute essential functions of public health.
Objective: Analyzing from a new position the challenges in service teachers confronts.
Development: Various education and investigations reaffirm the need to look for alternatives that promote health care-teaching integration in the different biomedical careers, with emphasis in graduate training, supported on the believe that this integration contributes to students integral training.
Conclusions: In service teacher plays a developmental role by guaranteeing with their performance the integrative character of the process as they face big challenges, including the teaching component of the binomium, the inherent functions to this work, their double condition as teachers and medical staff and finally their pedagogic preparation.
