Evaluation of the life collided in the relation with the salad in patients with arthritis rheumatoid in the Rheumatology Center

Introduction: Rheumatoid Arthritis is a very common disease that produces permanent articular damage and functional disability which lessen patient life expectative.
Objective: To evaluate quality of life of life in health in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Method: A descriptive study was carried out with 150 RA patients who were admitted in the Rheumatology Center of “Hospital Docente Clinico Quirurgico 10 de Octubre” in the period from June 2010 to July 2011. Punctual estimations were calculated for trust intervals of 95 % of values belong to sub-scales of QoL- RA. The clinical activity was evaluated according to CDAI (Clinical Disease Activity Index) and functional ability was carried out with the HAQ-CU questioner.
Results: Female was higher with 56.3 years of age. The huge quality of life was seen in sub-scales help- interaction, state of animi and nerve tension. Arthritis, personal health and pain, were the sub-scales that more affected quality of life. A joint relationship among quality of life according to health, clinical activity and functional ability existed, according to Pearson correlation values.
Conclusions: The quality of life related with the health in the studied patients is evaluated of good. The application of the questionnaire Qol-RA in the clinical daily practice is a simple and reliable method that allows us to evaluate the impact of the rheumatoid arthritis in the quality of life in patients.
