La innovación educativa en la Educación Superior ecuatoriana y el portafolio docente: instrumentos de desarrollo

Introducción: en la actualidad se requiere de innovaciones que influyan en el progreso y motiven la investigación, incentivando a través de esta última, la búsqueda de variables inherentes al proceso educativo, con el propósito de obtener resultados en aspectos tales como: rendimiento y actitudes de los estudiantes, estilos cognitivos, estrategias de enseñanza, entre otros.Objetivo: estructurar un conjunto de reflexiones que permita analizar la innovación educativa en la Educación Superior ecuatoriana y el portafolio docente como instrumentos de desarrollo.
Desarrollo: se realizó una búsqueda sistemática en ELSEVIER, Web of Knowledge y Google Académico, empleando los términos: innovación educativa, Educación Superior ecuatoriana, desarrollo. Se ha limitado la búsqueda a diarios, documentos normativos, libros y artículos escritos en los idiomas español, francés e inglés, en el período 2010-2016. Se agregaron 5 estudios adicionales a discreción de los autores, constituyendo los anteriores los criterios de inclusión. Como criterios de exclusión, no fueron seleccionadas las entrevistas a autoridades publicadas.
Conclusiones: la reflexión final gira en torno a la contribución de la innovación al desarrollo de una región o país, este último depende en buena medida de su habilidad para estimular la innovación educativa, en particular, en la Educación Superior. A ello no escapa el Ecuador; país que pretende alcanzar altos índices de calidad en este subsistema educativo, reforzando la institucionalización de los esfuerzos innovadores. Todo esto desde la acción y la reflexión y la aglutinación de los saberes, en lo cual juega un rol trascendental, como elemento clave en el quehacer práctico-teórico del docente universitario, el portafolio docente.
