Mielomeningocele y lupus eritematoso sistémico, una relación infrecuente

El embarazo es considerado una situación de riesgo en las pacientes con enfermedades reumáticas. La relación existente entre embarazo y lupus eritematoso sistémico está matizada por exacerbación de la actividad de la enfermedad y por posibles afectaciones al producto final. Los desórdenes del desarrollo del tubo neural son el segundo mayor grupo de malformaciones congénitas, siendo el mielomeningocele una de las malformaciones más frecuentes. Se presenta el caso de un recién nacido con un mielomeningocele, hijo de una paciente de 27 años con diagnóstico de lupus eritematoso sistémico de 4 años de evolución.
