Caracterización de la invalidez laboral por enfermedades Reumáticas en el municipio 10 de Octubre, estudio de seis años.

Se realiza un estudio epidemiológico de tipo descriptivo y retrospectivo con el propósito de caracterizar el comportamiento de la invalidez laboral por enfermedades reumáticas en el municipio 10 de octubre durante un período de 6 años (1995-2000). Se revisaron todos los dictámenes de peritaje médico de los pacientes peritados durante este período. De los 4838 pacientes peritados 1014 (21 %) eran portadores de enfermedades reumáticas, superada solamente por las enfermedades psiquiátricas (22,2%). La patología más frecuente lo constituyó la espondiloartrosis (39,4%) seguido en orden de frecuencia los Reumatismos de partes blandas (15,6 %), la sacrolumbalgía (12,2 %) y las patologías de rodilla (11,4 %). El sexo femenino (76,2 %) y la categoría ocupacional obrera (40,8 %) y empleados (35,8 %) fueron las más afectadas. A los grupos etáreos de 51-55 (30,1 %) y 46-50 (28,3 %) le correspondió el mayor número de pacientes peritados. Predominó la invalidez total (33,3 %) siendo en este grupo la espondiloartrosis la de mayor porcentaje (54,7 %), le siguió la invalidez temporal (28,4 %) constituyendo la sacrolumbalgía la entidad más frecuente en este grupo (50 %). En nuestro estudio los días perdidos laborables ascendieron a 184867.La duración media de baja laboral por enfermedades reumáticas fue de 30,3 días por proceso correspondiendo a la sacrolumbalgía el mayor número (38,2 días) seguido por la espondiloartrosis (33,9 días) y las patologías de rodilla (33,2 días). Los costos indirectos ascendieron a $ 6’780,152.00.y el 61,1 % del gasto total fue consumido por los pacientes portadores de Espondiloartrosis seguido por los reumatismo de partes blandas 24,3 % y la sacrolumbalgía 18,9%.Downloads
