Infarto agudo de miocardio como expresión de debut del síndrome antifosfolípido

Las enfermedades reumáticas cursan con un proceso inflamatorio subyacente que es considerado el principal elemento etiopatogénico de estas afecciones. La expresión de este proceso inflamatorio puede darse a nivel articular como extraarticular; siendo el aparato cardiovascular uno de los sistemas de órganos que con mayor frecuencia se afecta. El infarto agudo del miocardio es una complicación isquémica que compromete el riego sanguíneo de la capa media del corazón, múltiples son las causas que pueden generarlo, sin embargo, su principal incidencia se sitúa por encima d ellos 50 años de edad. El objetivo de la presente investigación es reportar el caso de una paciente de 36 años de edad en la cual se confirma el diagnóstico de infarto agudo de miocardio como expresión de debut de un síndrome antifosfolipídico. Se concluye que las enfermedades reumáticas pueden debutar con complicaciones graves que llegan a poner en peligro la vida de los pacientes, y que sus manifestaciones clínicas ´pueden situarse en lugares distintos al sistema osteomioarticular. El proceso inflamatorio juega un papel fundamental en la aparición de complicaciones vasculares que generen este tipo de complicaciones.
