La rehabilitación pulmonar como parte del esquema terapéutico en pacientes con enfermedad reumática y compromiso cardiovascular

Abstract

Las enfermedades reumáticas constituyen un grupo de afecciones que se caracterizan por afectar distintos órganos y sistemas de órganos del cuerpo humano, con destaque para la afectación respiratoria y cardiovascular; la expresión del proceso inflamatorio mantenido genera complicaciones que provocan distintos grados de discapacidad y afectación de la percepción de calidad de vida relacionada con la salud. La rehabilitación pulmonar puede constituir una alternativa terapéutica en pacientes con enfermedad reumática y compromiso cardiovascular. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue exponer las ventajas que brinda la rehabilitación pulmonar en pacientes con ER y compromiso cardiovascular; para esto se realizó una investigación básica, descriptiva y transversal con la finalidad de dar a conocer los principales elementos de distinguen a la rehabilitación respiratoria en pacientes con enfermedad reumática y compromiso cardiovascular. Como principales resultados se expusieron las principales complicaciones respiratorias y cardiovasculares que pueden presentarse en estos pacientes, así como elementos relacionados con las ventajas y métodos relacionados con la rehabilitación respiratoria que hacen que pueda ser considerada como parte del esquema terapéutico en estas afecciones. Se concluye que la rehabilitación respiratoria contribuye de manera significativa a minimizar la expresión del daño generado por el proceso inflamatorio en el aparato cardiovascular y respiratorio. Las ventajas se relacionan con la disminución de la restricción ventilatoria y del intercambio gaseoso; así como el mejoramiento de la frecuencia y fuerza de contracción cardiaca.
