Beneficios del programa Xbox Kinect en la adaptabilidad protésica en pacientes con amputaciones pélvicas

Una amputación pélvica y colocación de prótesis en su lugar genera discapacidad como resultado cambios en la postura, la marcha, el equilibrio que limitan la independencia de la persona para cumplir las tareas de la vida diaria. La adaptabilidad del paciente a la prótesis requiere de ejercicios físicos. La creación de juegos con el programa Xbox Kinect mejora el equilibrio y la velocidad de la marcha. El objetivo del presente estudio consistió en describir los beneficios que aporta el programa Xbox Kinect en la adaptabilidad protésica en pacientes con amputaciones pélvicas. Se seleccionaron 20 documentos publicados desde el 2014 a 2023 en las bases de datos Cochrane, Scielo, Latindex, Redalyc y en Google académico. Los principales aportes se corresponden con las características del programa Xbox Kinect que permiten mejorar la adaptabilidad protésica en pacientes con amputaciones pélvicas y los beneficios que se obtienen en el mejoramiento de la velocidad de marcha y el equilibrio como parámetros a tener en cuenta en la adaptabilidad protésica. Se concluye que por sus características Xbox Kinect es eficaz en la adaptación protésica del paciente con amputaciones pélvicas que facilita la realización de ejercicios intensos y repetitivos, ajustarlos a las particularidades de cada persona mejoran la velocidad de la marcha y el equilibrio. El proceso transcurre en un ambiente lúdico que resulta agradable, placentero y motivador.
