Un caso en derrame pleural, clasificación/evaluación desde el laboratorio clínico con marcadores bioquímicos

Se presenta un paciente masculino de 55 años de edad que ingresa en Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico Docente Miguel Enríquez, de la Habana, por presentar decaimiento agudo. Los médicos de asistencia realizan los procederes clínicos, entre ellos, radiografía, que muestra opacidad homogénea de los 2/3 inferior del campo pulmonar derecho por derrame pleural; lo que coincide con la anamnesis realizada por los clínicos, el estudio citológico extendido mostró abundantes histiocitos, linfocitos y células mesoteliales reactivas y presencia de dos nichos aislados sospechosos de malignidad, a punto de lo cual se sugirió estudio de citología evolutivo.
