Tratamiento del Síndrome del Túnel del Carpo con láser infrarrojo

Se llevó a cabo una investigación longitudinal y prospectiva, de corte experimental, en todos los pacientes que acudieron durante un año a la consulta de Reumatología y Ortopedia del Policlínico - Hospital "Raúl Gómez García" del municipio Diez de Octubre con el diagnóstico de Síndrome Túnel del Carpo (STC). Se conformaron dos grupos de trabajo donde a 30 pacientes se les aplicó tratamiento convencional (grupo control) y a otros 30 el tratamiento con láser de baja potencia (grupo experimental). Se evaluó la eficacia del tratamiento con láser de baja potencia en el Síndrome del Túnel del Carpo con respecto al tratamiento convencional. El tratamiento con láser consistió en la aplicación de depósitos puntuales de energía con un equipo de fabricación cubana Lasermed 401 (infrarrojo) con una potencia máxima de salida de 7 mW a dosis analgésica y antiinflamatoria (16 J/cm2), sobre el canal carpiano y puntos acupunturales (IG4, IG11, IG15 ). Predominó el sexo femenino con edades comprendidas entre 24 y 45, De los pacientes atendidos con láser el tratamiento fue efectivo en el 90%, mejorando las manifestaciones de parestesia y dolor, siendo este un método poco costoso y sin efectos adversosDownloads
