Linfadenitis histiocítica necrotizante asociada a lupus eritematoso sistémico.

La enfermedad de Kikuchi Fujimoto o linfadenitis histiocítica necrosante sin infiltración granulocítica fue descrita en 1972. Enfermedad rara y benigna. Se caracteriza por crecimiento de ganglios linfáticos cervicales frecuentemente dolorosos, fiebre con sudoraciones nocturnas y malestar general. La etiología de la enfermedad no es clara; se plantea respuesta inmune ante algunas infecciones y autoinmune similar al lupus eritematoso sistémico. Presentamos un caso clínico de una mujer de 40 años, mestiza cuyo diagnóstico se corroboró con estudio histológico de uno de los ganglios y su posible asociación en la misma con lupus eritematoso sistémico al tener algunos criterios que arrastraba desde hacía 5 años. Se reporta para la comunidad médica y con fines docentes.
