Histopathology of synovial membrane in the gouty arthritis

The alterations of the metabolism of the purines can give place to the drop, an illness originated by elevation of the levels of acid uric occasioned by multiple causes, representing the arthritis one of his main clinical demonstrations. In this article are the result of the biopsies study of the membrane synovial taken by arthroscopy, realized in the service of pathological anatomy of the Clinical Educational Hospital Surgical 10 October of patients with diagnostic of gout’ arthritis attended in the Rheumatology Center, in a period of seven years, observing between the main findings hyperplasia and hypertrophy of sinoviocitos in the superficial layer of the membrane synovial, proliferation of in the superficial layer of the membrane synovial, proliferation of fibroblasts and collagen’s fiber and infiltrated inflammatory chronic, the presence of tophus in the stromal of 13 biopsies and microcrystals’ acid uric related of dependent way with hypertrophy of sinoviocitos and the giant cells.
