Influencia de la fuerza de agarre en la repetición máxima en press banca plano

Introducción: Actualmente la fuerza de agarre se considera como una variable importante de medir para valorar el rendimiento físico debido a que proporciona una estimación rápida de la fuerza del cuerpo superior de los deportistas.
Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la fuerza de agarre y la repetición máxima en el press banca plano en sujetos capacitados en el entrenamiento de la fuerza con sobrecargas.
Métodos: En este estudio descriptivo-correlacional participaron de diez hombres con valores promedio de edad 17,40 ± 2,32 años, talla 172,10 ± 5,76 cm y una masa corporal de 79,13 ± 19,54 kg, todos los sujetos participaron voluntariamente fueron informados de las pruebas a realizar, se aplicó en los participantes el test de repetición máxima en el ejercicio press banca plano y el test de fuerza máxima de agarre. Para la tabulación y análisis de los resultados obtenidos del estudio se utilizó el paquete estadístico PSPP, en este paquete estadístico se estableció un nivel de confianza del 95% y un p-valor de 0,05, se aplicaron las pruebas de normalidad (Shapiro-Wilk) y el Coeficiente Correlacional de Pearson.
Resultados: Después de analizar los resultados obtenidos en la fuerza de agarre y la repetición máxima en press banca plano se obtuvo una distribución normal (p > 0,05), mientras que no se evidencio una correlación significativa positiva o negativa (r = -0,06, p > 0,05) entre ambas variables.
Conclusión: No existe una correlación significativa entre la fuerza de agarre y la repetición máxima en press banca plano.
